Who is the course intended for:
All staff who engage in the positive handling or assisting children
Duration: 16:00 - 18:00 hrs
The course has been designed to give best practice and guidance around the management of children when they display outbursts in a positive way with least intervention. The course looks at the legal implications and gives staff confidence to act appropriately. This course is ideally suited for staff such as teaching staff and SNA`s that are involved with children. The course references your local policies and procedures. We will also discuss local policies and Behaviours of Concern guidance document.

- Preventing incidents from escalation
- Reporting & de-briefing difficult incidents
- Developing the strategy or action plan to avoid & reduce conflict situations and aggressive behaviour
- Scenarios of responding behaviours within schools
- Therapeutic Intervention
- Whole school approach to reducing incidences
