French Upskilling for Primary Teachers (Oct-Dec 2025)

Learning Outcomes:

Communication and culture - Teachers will be able to ensure pupils can present themselves,express likes/dislikes, and ask and answer (speak and listen) basic questions. Teachers will beable to guide pupils in using French in daily life (songs, cooking, drawing etc).

Language system and influences - Teachers can show pupils how the French language systemworks and how it interconnects with other languages (grammar components/soundpatterns/cognates/word order)

Reading and writing in French - Teachers will be able to build on oral communciation andlanguage system awareness to guide pupils in writing and reading skills.
