Facilitators Bio

Alan Bedford is the principal of Bray School Project NS and a Doctorate of Education student with a strong passion for Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL). With extensive experience in primary education, Alan is particularly interested in how a school's local environment can serve as a lens for learners to explore and understand the wider world. His work focuses on fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and student-led inquiry, ensuring that learning is both meaningful and deeply connected to real-world contexts. As a facilitator, Alan brings a wealth of practical insights and research-based strategies to support teachers in embedding IBL into their classrooms and beyond.
