People Moving and Handling in schools (Animate Handling) - Course Details

Course intro:

This People Moving in education training course is designed to provide teaching and support staff all the skills to interact with children and how we assist them everyday. It is designed around animate handling. The course covers best practice and assesses all interactions with children.  This course is ideally suited for staff such as teaching staff and SNA`s that are involved with children. The course covers the aids such as hoists, wheels chairs and other equipment children use in schools.

• Animate handling in schools

• Heighten the child’s capacity to function

• Employer Duties (Section 8)

• Employee Duties (Section 13)

• 8 principles of Safe Lifting

• Hazard identification

• Hoists, Slings, Wheelchairs etc

• Risk Assessment (T.I.L.E.O)

• Anatomy

• Fit for work and practical skills (Animate practical skills

• Learning outcome review

All attending will complete

Practical and Theory assessment
