Stories that Connect : Deepening Literacy Through Integrated Learning: Junior/Senior Infants - Catherine Gilliland
Step into a dynamic early‑years webinar that brings the Irish Primary Curriculum to life through the power of story. Stories That Connect invites participants on a rich learning journey, exploring how picturebooks, oral storytelling and poetry can spark meaningful, connected learning across all areas of the curriculum.
Teachers will discover how core literacy skills—oral language, emergent reading, emergent writing and comprehension—can be intentionally nurtured through integrated, playful experiences in Junior and Senior Infants. Using high‑quality texts as stimuli, participants will see how literacy naturally threads through SESE, Maths, the Arts and Aistear‑led inquiry, strengthening understanding and deepening engagement.
