Bus Escort Training WTAC

This course was designed to bring awareness to your education team and support staff in order to  be aware of the safety points when assisting a person to and from the school or education facility. The transition from home onto the mode of transport, the journey to the school and going from the mode of transport to the school  and then home. This course looks at all the scenarios that escorts come across and identify solutions to keep everybody safe.

Health and Safety of all is key and hazards and risks associated to this role will be defined on the course. Specific plans assigned to each child may be required to ensure a planned process is in place

• Role and Responsibilities of Bus Escort and Driver
• Transition to the school on transport

• Emergency situations incl medication management
• Behaviours of Concern
• Securing and assisting various aids
• Parent Requests
• Health and Safety in transport
• Learning outcome review
