Course Outline

• Course is aimed at teaching participants how to operate the Irish Newspaper Archive database and explore how it can be used for local history research in the classroom.

Participants will be able to complete the following;

a) Identify the various tools and features of Irish Newspaper Archive used for searching records

b) Demonstrate to participants how to use Irish Newspaper Archive to search for various project ideas

c) Investigate various newspaper titles used for local history research

d) Develop a sample project using the Irish Newspaper Archive.
